Here are more previews of the upcoming issue of V Magazine; this time with Funnywoman Kristen Wiig.

World Wide Web – One of the Blay Report’s fave comediennes, Kristen Wiig, does the new issue of V Magazine, Issue #64 shot by photog Tom Allen.

“With her repertoire of offbeat and wonderfully weird characters, she has carved out a niche within the niche of Saturday Night Live, but what’s most extraordinary about Kristen Wiig’s ultra-specific and perverse humor is that millions of people are laughing along.”

You gotta love her Blaynistas! [V Magazine]

FASHION’S NIGHT OUT TO AIR ON CBS

FASHION  |  By Jared Lowe  |  February 23rd, 2010

Mark you calendars, Blaynistas. Fashion’s biggest shopping night will air on CBS this September.

New York – In a match made in fashion TV heaven, Anna Wintour and the Vogue offices have inked a deal with CBS to broadcast Fashion’s Night Out. CBS will air an one-hour special about the big shopping night on Sept. 15, though the shopping extravaganza takes place on Sept. 10 this year. This seems like an ideal match, considering 60 Minutes did a favorable piece on Anna a few months back. Last year was total j’die, this year will be MAJOR. Can’t wait for Sept. 15th Anna![The Cut]

PROJECT RUNWAY’S LIFETIME RATINGS DROP

FASHION  |  By Kristina Bustos  |  February 4th, 2010

Reality show Project Runway garnered low ratings for its Season 7 premiere, a third less than its Season 6 premiere.

Games Project RunwayWorld Wide Web- The new season of Project Runway marked the second year the reality-television program was filmed at its new home — Los Angeles — and aired on its new network — Lifetime. Unfortunately, the ratings have dropped for the Emmy-nominated show. Only 2.9 million viewers tuned in to watch the Season 7 premiere, a third less than Season 6’s premiere of 4.2 million viewers. Last season’s premiere was the highest rated reality series premiere on cable in 2009 and it was also the highest premiere for Project Runway; however, the show’s ratings peak was in Season 3 with 5.4 million viewers who watched the finale. Fashion blog Fashionista asked pop culture expert Robert Thompson why Project Runway didn’t do so well with its new season premiere, and he said it’s all in the cast. “With reality television, you’re just one great cast away from higher ratings,” said Thompson. “In Season 6, you didn’t have those break-out, interesting characters like in the past.” [Fashionista, AP via CBS News]
