The New York Issue of V Magazine is on stands now, and its cover models couldn’t be more New York if they tried.
World Wide Web- The first of four V67 covers to be released was created by Dan Colen where he interpreted the iconic “V” as chewed up wads of bubble gum. You know, like, the stuff you see all over the streets of New York. Colen posed Lady Gaga and designer Marc Jacobs for the cover shoot. Editor Stephen Gan thought Gaga was the perfect choice for the cover. “Just as the statue of Liberty was France’s gift to America, Gaga is, to us, New York’s greatest gift to pop culture and fashion,” said Gan. “Exactly one year after her first V cover, we decided to do the NEW YORK issue, and she was the first person who came to mind to represent our great city.” Does Gaga represent that empire state of mind to you too Blaynistas? We have more images from the glossy after the cut.
