CHRISTIAN SIRIANO’S PAYLESS SHOES MAY BE AVAILABLE THIS SPRING…

Uncategorized  |  By Kristina Bustos  |  January 27th, 2010

And what do you think, Blaynistas? Love them or hate them?

Siriano Shoes

World Wide WebProject Runway‘s fourth season winner Christian Siriano is probably one of the most successful designers to come out of the reality show. His accomplishments so far include debuting in New York Fashion Week, continuing to show his collections at NY Fashion Week, dressing celebrities like Mad Men‘s redhead Christina Hendricks at this year’s Golden Globes, and Saks Fifth Avenue picking up his entire Fall 2009 collection. The designer also has collaborated with other retail brands — most recently with Payless for a shoe collection. And now we have a sneak peak of what to expect from that Payless collection. Siriano’s Payless line is set to be available in stores in mid-March with prices ranging from $49.99 to $79.99; however, fashion bloggers are calling his Payless shoe collection as Alexander McQueen and Nicholas Kirkwood knock-offs. So now we have to ask: are you fine with these Siriano’s shoes or would you want to own the real thing? [Racked, Nitrolicious]

FASHION  |  By Kristina Bustos  |  January 26th, 2010

The Council of Fashion Designers of America launches “Fashion for Haiti” T-shirt. Proceeds will be donated to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.

CFDA Haiti ShirtU.S.A. – We love when people in the fashion industry get together to take part in helping out those who are in need of help. And no one needs more help right now than the people of Haiti. There are many ways to donate to Haiti and one of them is by purchasing a “Fashion for Haiti” T-shirt launched by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). The black and lime green “Fashion for Haiti” T-shirt was designed by Peter Arnell. A map of Haiti stands in for the word “Haiti” in the phrase “To Haiti With Love.” Proceeds will be donated to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, which is helping to raise funds for immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts in Haiti. The “Fashion for Haiti” T-shirt is priced at $25 and it will be available for purchase in retailers across the country and at www.cfda.com starting on Friday, Feb. 12 — exactly one month after a 7.0 earthquake hit Haiti, which makes it the most powerful earthquake to hit the nation in a century. World Wide Web – Italian fashion house Versace joins Prada, Giorgio Armani, and Dolce & Gabbana in making the technology world more stylish by launching designer cell phones. Versace will give a sneak preview of their cell phone during the Paris shows next week but you’ll have to be a VIP client to see it. Womp womp. (But don’t worry because in this technology age images of the phone will most likely pop up online in the near future.) Women’s Wear Daily reports that Versace collaborated with French company ModeLabs Group. The company has worked with fashion houses before, such as making cell phones for Christian Dior (pictured left). “This exciting collaboration is consistent with Versace’s strategy of developing the brand’s strong business potential through a select number of agreements with key international licensing partners,” said Gian Giacomo Ferraris, CEO of Versace. Shoppers will have the option of selecting colors and designer features like leather details for the Versace handsets. This is going to be one sexy cell phone, isn’t it? [Style List/FWD]
