BEAUTY  |  By Channing Hargrove  |  September 7th, 2010

Longoria launched her first fragrance that every woman can wear in London yesterday.

World Wide Web- Eva Longoria has been keeping busy while we twiddle our thumbs waiting for the return of Desperate Housewives. She just launched Eva by Eva Longoria at The Perfume Shop in London on Sunday. This just won’t be another celebrity fragrance though Blaynistas. Longoria’s smell good is special because she “wanted something that every woman could wear.” Even the ones with sensitive noses because the scent is “light, fresh and unique.” We can’t wait to smell it for ourselves! BETHENNY FRANKEL DOESN’T BELIEVE IN PAINTING HER NAILS!

BEAUTY  |  By Channing Hargrove  |  September 6th, 2010

Bethanny says that nails need to breathe and will only get them cut and buffed.

World Wide Web- Real Housewife of New York Bethenny Frankel doesn’t paint her nails Blaynistas! Have you ever of such a thing? To us, that is blasphemy. We like our nails did, but wait until you hear why Bethenny doesn’t. She said that she only gets her nails cut and buffed, because she thinks her nails need to breathe. Fret not Blaynistas, Glamour looked into this issue. It is perfectly ok to paint your nails. Your nails do not need to breathe because they are not alive. They are made of keratin! We will be sure to pass that along to Ms. Bethenny. [The Girls In The Beauty Department]

ZOYA WANTS TO SPOON YOU TO HELP PICK YOUR NEXT MANI

BEAUTY  |  By Channing Hargrove  |  September 3rd, 2010

Zoya’s New Color Spoons allow you to try several nail colors without having to commit to buy the bottle, or even paint your nails for that matter.

World Wide Web- If you’re anything like us Blaynistas, when it comes time to pick a color for your mani, you’re like a small child. One minute you think you want one color and the next it’s a different color. Zoya understands that and they want to spoon you. Literally. Zoya’s new Color Spoons are clear plastic handles, with a tip resembling a nail. The nail tips are painted with whatever shade you select and then you hold the spoon to your nail to get a feel for how the color will look on. Intrigued? Here’s how this works. You select however many spoons in however many colors to be sent to you. The spoons cost $.50 but the shipping is free. You are able to use the cost of the spoons toward a nail polish purchase with a promo code. [Bella Sugar]

PARIS HILTON HAS PERFECTED TURNING A MUGSHOT INTO A GLAMOUR SHOT

BEAUTY  |  By Channing Hargrove  |  September 1st, 2010

Hilton seems to have mastered “the smile with your eyes” technique for the camera, because her mug shots have gotten progressively better.

World Wide Web- It definitely isn’t a good thing that Paris Hilton has been arrested enough times that we can compare her mug shots. You have to admit though, they have gotten better. This time around she’s rocking a cute hairstyle, nice sooty lashes and a sweet pink mouth. Hilton was arrested for alleged cocaine possession on August 28th. We aren’t quite as sympathetic seeing as this the 29-year-old’s third run in with the law. We are wondering, however, if she is wearing the correct hair extensions in her mug shot. [StyleList]

KIM KARDASHIAN IS BEEFING WITH SEPHORA

BEAUTY  |  By Channing Hargrove  |  August 31st, 2010

Apparently when Kim’s contract with Sephora is over, she would like for mass-market retailers to sell her perfume, but Sephora isn’t having it.

World Wide Web- When Sephora agreed to sell Kim Kardashian’s namesake perfume, it was supposed to be an exclusive deal. But Kardashian and her perfume’s manufacturer, Lighthouse Beauty, are planning to widen the distribution of the fragrance to stores like Target and Macy’s. Sephora is so disappointed they have not only cancelled some of Kim’ appearances but have been planning to pull her perfume from the store’s shelves. Clearly Sephora wanted to continue working with Kardashian while Kim and her people had other plans. [Page Six]

World Wide Web- Remember Chanel Nail Vernis in Jade that came out last during last year’s Fashion Night Out? MAC WILL NOT RELEASE THE CONTRAVERSIAL RODARTE COLLECTION

BEAUTY  |  By Channing Hargrove  |  August 22nd, 2010

After causing an uproar with their latest collection Rodarte, MAC will not longer be releasing the collection in September.

World Wide Web- When the images of MAC’s Rodarte collection were released they were criticized for making light of the gruesome rapes and murders of maquiladora workers in Juarez.  The collection included names of products like Juarez and Factory but MAC maintained that the line was inspired by the designers’ Fall 2010 fashion show. Originally MAC apologized and said all the profits would be donated to the women of Juarez. In a slightly new twist, MAC has just has decided to pull the line. Is this better Blaynistas? The only thing we are want to know is what about the money that the women of Juarez were promised? [Bella Sugar]
