Apparently it’s a little easier than we thought to stay en vogue. Yukio Hatoyama’s wife Miyuki will appear in the August issue.
World Wide Web – After sending Annie Leibovitz and team of Vogue staffers to Japan for Miyuki Hatoyama’s photo shoot, Anna Wintour is moving forward with her plans to use them in the magazine. Her husband, the former prime minister of Japan stepped down on Tuesday. It is believed that his uh, fashion sense, or lack there of contributed to his political demise. Despite his eccentricities Vogue still wants to feature his wife on the cover.
According the WWD, a Vogue spokesperson confirmed that Japan’s former first lady would indeed appear in the August age issue. “We still plan to use the photos because the issue is about starting over,” he said. Well, that’s just dandy. We’re sure Hatoyama would like to do a few things over, like perhaps her book, “Very Strange Things I’ve Encountered” where she referenced being taken by aliens. “While my body was asleep, I think my soul rode on a triangular-shaped UFO and went to Venus,” she wrote. Hm, well, three cheers for a fresh start! [WWD]
