WHO HAD SALES INQUIRIES BOOST AFTER NY FASHION WEEK?

The Wall Street Journal lists the top five brands who received high percentage of sale inquiries after showing at New York Fashion Week.

U.S.A. - Fashion Week in New York ended and we’re still talking about it. (But we wouldn’t have it any other way anyhow.) The Wall Street Journal has listed the top five brands who saw sales inquiries boosts a week after showing in New York and Diane Von Furstenberg (pictured at her Fall/Winter 2010 show)  takes the top spot with 1150% increase in sales inquiries. DVF then is followed by Donna Karan with 700% increase. A sales and marketing database called NetProspex tracked down the impact of NYFW on brand awareness and sales. The database concluded that not only does NYFW generate buzz but that buzz also translates to actual sales. Rounding up the list in order are: BCBG Max Azria with 425% increase, Tory Burch with 260% increase and Thakoon with 200% increase. The list is interesting and sort of what not we expected, for example Thakoon making it to the top five but it does make sense to see an increase of sales inquiries for the brand. After all, Thakoon is a favorite of one of the most visible woman in the world, First Lady Michelle Obama. [WSJ]
